We were over in Ross-on-Wye helping one of our lovely regular customers tidy up their hedges for the winter. They have long wrap around hedges made up and laurel and privet. The hedges had grown wild over the summer, it was starting to hang over the driveway and block light on the side of the garden.

They had been meaning to get to it for a while but just hadn’t had the time (we’ve all been there!). They asked if I could give it a proper trim and reshape so it looked neat again.

When I arrived, I could see it just needed some care and a good tidy-up. I started by taking the top down a bit (around 2 feet), and then shaped both sides to get that nice, even look. Once the hedge was all level and tidy, I cleared away every last bit of the cuttings so the garden looked clean and fresh.

It only took a few hours, but what a difference it made was huge! The space looked brighter, the driveway was clear again, and the hedge had a nice, crisp line to it. They was really happy with how it turned out and said it looked “like a different garden with plenty of extra light all around their house”.
